Child Care Services

Resources for Child Care educates and supports Early Care and Education Professionals by:

  • Offering a comprehensive curriculum, including college courses, workshops, distance learning, Home Study and CEU courses. Resources for Child Care plans trainings to meet the needs of both family child care providers and group child care providers.
  • Providing regularly scheduled trainings on a wide array of child care topics. Topics range from business issues to Health and Safety and recognizing Special Needs.
  • Offering technical support. Resources for Child Care answers provider's questions about the health and developmental concerns of children, offers small business support and connects callers with regulatory agencies.
  • Presenting an annual conference with experts in the field of child care. Resources for Child Care offers training to all professionals in the field, including Family, Center-based and Early Care and Education staff from the regional school system.
  • Affording access to an extensive resource and equipment lending library. Resources for Child Care maintains a well-stocked library of resource material, toys, books, and equipment ranging from high chairs to cribs and an extensive print collection.
  • Nurturing professional development in the early child care and education field. Resources for Child Care offers workshops and courses that meet the greatest need as indicated in an annual needs assessment survey, as well as offering ongoing support.
  • Publishing a tri-annual Training Calendar. Resources for Child Care distributes calendars to individual Early Care and Education professionals, center-base programs, public and private schools, Head Start and other Human Service agencies.
  • Listing trainings on the web. Resources for Child Care lists upcoming trainings on the Web so Early Care and Education professionals may arrange their schedules.
  • Offering supply and demand information. Resources for Child Care offers supply and demand information, upon request from new and experienced providers as well as the business community.
