Resources for Child Care is a non-profit Child
Care Resource and Referral Program established in Berkshire County,
Massachusetts in 1987 to fill a collective regional need for child
care education and supportive services. Resources for Child Care
educates and supports parents, child care providers and early
childhood professionals throughout Berkshire County. Our goal
is to promote affordable, accessible, quality child care for all
families.
Resources for Child Care :
- disseminates a wide range of information on
Early Care and Education
- equips parents with the tools to evaluate a
variety of child care options
- provides free information and comprehensive,
up-to-date referrals to licensed child care centers, family
child care homes, nursery schools, Head Start, and school-age
programs
- offers enhanced services to families of children
with disabilities
- administers several subsidies that reduce the
cost of child care for eligible families as well as providing
information on all child care subsidies in Berkshire County
- publishes an annual summer camp & activity
guide
- trains and nurtures the careers of early child
care and education professionals
- educates businesses about the need for child
care benefits and the options available as well as offering
customized referral services and a range of consultation services
- conducts needs assessments, analyzes and shares
child care data with state and community agencies
- participates in early childhood-related community
events
